The Dream Team is the heartbeat of our church, made up of amazing people who bring every aspect of LC to life. We believe that everyone has unique gifts to offer and that serving on the Dream Team is a powerful way to make an impact, build lasting relationships, and grow in your walk with God. Whether it’s greeting guests, leading worship, or creating a welcoming environment for kids, there’s a place for you. Below you can learn more about the teams available and find the perfect fit for you!

February 1st, 2026 (Following Service)
What is Basecamp? It is our Vision Rally for 2026! We get to see where we are headed, what goals are set for our teams and also celebrate what God is doing! This is a great place to start each year, to know exactly what the Dream Team is all about!
The NEXT one: February 8th, 2026 (Following Service)
What is Next Steps? This is where you learn about Life Church, how we function and what we believe. You also find out your gifts and where you like to serve. And in one day, it's complete! Membership signup happens during this class.

Who leads the Dream Team?

Dream Team Director

Pastor Krista Overby is on staff at Life Church. She oversees every team that serves on the Dream Team.

Dream Team Captains

Some of our teams have multiple groups that have Team Captains who oversee each group.

Dream Team Leaders

All teams consists of leaders that oversee teams and team captains in some cases.

A group of amazing people who devote their time to serve God and people so the mission can move forward! They are the best team on planet earth!

Why do we serve?


Because we are contributors, not consumers.


Because we bring our best or we don't bring it.


Because we lift the lid off leadership capacity.

Dream Team FAQ

How do I get involved?

The easiest way is to sign up for our Next Steps class, where you find out every detail about the church and the team. You can also fill out a connect card in person and sign up to join a team. Then someone will contact you!

What are the biggest needs?

Our biggest needs are usually our biggest teams. Our Kids Team has multiple classes and ages so that is always a need, especially as we grow. Another great need is our Welcome Team. This is our biggest team because there are so many areas on Sundays.

What if I don't have time?

We never put pressure on our team members to serve. In fact, we create a culture of balance in our church. That means we create rotations of schedules to fit the needs of everyone's time. We prefer that people do not serve on a weekly basis, as that can create an imbalance. We treasure your time and thank you for what you are able to give!

What should I expect after Next Steps?

A leader will contact you so you can shadow, get a Dream Team manual and get on a schedule to start serving on a team!
