"Salvation is Received, Not Earned"

"What must I do to be saved?" — Acts 16:30

Salvation is not based on a list of "dos" and "don'ts." Many people believe that good works are the pathway to eternal life. They try to earn salvation by doing enough good or avoiding enough bad.
But Scripture tells us otherwise.
When the Philippian jailer asked Paul, "What must I do to be saved?" Paul answered, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." (Acts 16:31)
Believing is more than simply knowing who Jesus is. It is trusting Him with your whole heart. It means placing your faith in Christ alone for your salvation, believing that His death on the cross and His resurrection are completely sufficient to save you.
Jesus has already paid the price through His blood. Salvation is not something we achieve—it is a gift we receive by faith. Trust Him with your life, your future, and your eternity.
As Romans 10:10 reminds us, "For with the heart one believes unto righteousness."
Prayer
Jesus, I believe in You and trust You alone for my salvation. I believe that Your blood is completely sufficient to cleanse me from my sin. Today, I surrender my life to You. Thank You for the gift of salvation through Your death and resurrection. Amen.
